Washi Paper Project Bag
Washi Paper Project Bag
By Cohana
Meet Cohana’s handy Washi Paper Project Bag, a tote perfect for when you have larger projects on the go.
Made from the Japanese mulberry bush, washi paper is a versatile material reminiscent of canvas cloth. This raw material is sourced from Ichikawamisato, Yamanashi Prefecture, an area renowned for washi paper production for over 1000 years.
As part of the production process the paper cloth is hand-dyed by artisans in Kyoto using traditional Japanese pigments.
The resulting design elegantly showcases these hand-crafted elements whilst ensuring practicality with its eight inner pockets of various size and a clasp that can be used as a yarn guide or key holder.
As the washi paper softens and creases naturally with use, this bag will gain a charming patina over time.
