We’re proud to have partnered with Suomen Lanka of Finland to bring you Linna Cotton Twine, a 100% cotton warp thread in an assortment of vibrant shades.
The thread itself has been designed with the rigours of weaving in mind. It has a firm twist for strength and durability, and the tight round ply delivers smoothness in hand and a natural elasticity desirable in a tapestry or rug warp.
Available in 12 and 18 ply weights, the collection includes a palette of neutrals and bright primaries. The palette can be further extended with the complementary Molla Cotton Twine range.

WORKING THE YARN
Liina Cotton Twine is ideal for weaving (tapestry and rug warp), crochet, macramé and knitting. Its range of applications is only limited to your imagination. We suggest experimenting with this yarn using your chosen tools and techniques to develop a fabric that best suits your needs. To get you started we can suggest the following hook sizes for crochet projects:
12 Ply, 2–2.5 mm (0 - 2) hook
18 Ply, 2.5–3.5 mm (2 - 4) hook

Suomen Lanka, founded in 1982, is a family run business specializing in the manufacture of warp threads and cotton cords for industrial weaving and handcrafts. Production still takes place in the small rural village of Karvala in Lappajärvi, Finland.
